ISBN: 978-0-00-723387-8 (HB)

The world of eight-year-old Lauren Mahdan falls apart when her mother is murdered, and Lauren’s father is arrested for the killing.  Whilst her brother Alex believes in their father’s innocence, Lauren cuts off from her father completely.

Lauren grows into troubled adulthood, unable to commit to her loving boyfriend Gerry, her only security her brother Alex - then Alex disappears. In Colorado, pregnant Sylvia Hall is running away from her home seeking refuge with her childhood friend Victoria. But Victoria has problems of her own.

This is a story of family tragedy and the stories of three women whose lives are connected. Unbeknown to Lauren, her happiness and salvation is linked to the other two but can and will they help her.

Beautifully written, a compelling read. Recommended.
