Simon Brett is the writer responsible for the Charles Paris, Mrs Pargeter, Fethering and Blotto & Twinks series of crime novels. He was awarded an OBE in the 2016 New Year’s Honours ‘for services to literature’. Round the same time, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. In 2014 he was presented with The CWA Diamond Dagger, one of the highest accolades in the crime writing world. His writing also includes comedy in radio and television series such as No Commitments and After Henry. He says he can’t remember a time when he didn’t want to write. His Latest book is Blotto Twinks and the Suspicious Guests, published 21 January 2022.
Sam Carrington worked for the NHS for 15 years, during which time she qualified as a nurse. Following the completion of a Psychology degree she went to work for the prison service as an Offending Behaviour Programme Facilitator. Her experiences within this field inspired her writing. She left the service to spend time with her family and to follow her dream of being a novelist. Saving Sophie was her debut psychological thriller novel. She lives in Devon with her husband and three children. Her latest book is The Couple on Maple Drive, published 9 December 2021.
Michael Ridpath was born in Devon in 1961 but brought up in Yorkshire. He was educated at Millfield, Merton College, Oxford. Before becoming a writer, he worked in the City of London as a bond trader. He has written eight thrillers set in the worlds of business and finance. In 2010 he published the Where The Shadows Lie, the first in the Fire and Ice series featuring an Icelandic detective named Magnus Jonson. He has published five further books in the series. The latest being Death in Dalvik, published April 2022. In between the writing the series he has published three standalone novels. He lives in London.
Simon Toyne was born in 1968. He graduated from Goldsmiths College in London with a degree in English and Drama then worked in television for almost twenty years before becoming a novelist. He writes five series. His most recent book is Broken Promise the 4th book in the Solomon Creed series.
Katerina Diamond is the author of the Sunday Times Best Selling crime thriller The Teacher, and number 1 kindle bestselling novel The Secret. Katerina was born in Weston-super-Mare in the seventies, and has lived in various places since including Greece, Cyprus, Derby, East London and Exeter. She currently lives in East Kent. Her series features DS Imogen Grey. There are seven books in the series, the most recent being Trick or Treat published 14 October 2021.
