James Delargy was born and raised in Ireland but has called South Africa, Australia, Scotland, and now England his home. His thrillers, Vanished and 55, set in Western Australia, were published in 2021 and 2019 respectively by Simon & Schuster and various publishers internationally. Into the Flames, his latest, a thriller set to the backdrop of a devasting bushfire approaching a small town was published in July 2024. 

Paul Finch
is a former cop turned best-selling thriller writer. He cut his literary teeth penning episodes of the TV drama, The Bill. However, he is best known for his crime novels, specifically the Heckenburg police-actioners, of which there are eight. Of the three Clayburn procedurals, Strangers made the Sunday Times Top 10. Paul is currently with Thomas & Mercer. He lives in Lancashire with his wife, Cathy.

Mary Grand is the author of nine novels. She moved to crime with The House Party and two more stand-alones. Mary then commenced a series featuring amateur detective Susan Flynn with The Isle of Wight Killings. The latest book in the series, A Christmas Murder, was a number one best seller on Amazon. Mary’s crime books are all murder mysteries in the classic whodunnit style and are published by Boldwood Books.

Sarah Ward is the author of ten crime novels. A Patient Fury, was the Observer book of the month and The Quickening a Radio Times book of the year. She is currently writing two series – one set in New England and the other in West Wales where she lives. She has also written Doctor Who audio dramas. Sarah is former Vice-Chair of the Crime Writers Association and now helps organise Gŵyl Crime Cymru Festival.

Emma Styles
 writes Australian noir about young women taking on the patriarchy. She grew up in Western Australia and lives in London. Emma’s debut thriller No Country for Girls, described as ‘Thelma & Louise meets The Tourist’, won the 2023 Wilbur Smith Adventure Writing Prize, was a New Blood pick at Theakston’s Crime and was shortlisted for the CWA John Creasey Dagger. Her next book, serial killer thriller The Shark, is out in March 2026.
