Samantha Lee Howe
 is the writer of over twenty-five novels and several story collections. She is the author of USA Today bestselling novel The Stranger In Our Bed, which she adapted for screen. She has won multiple awards including Best Thriller for the National Film Awards. Samantha’s latest novel, The Soul Thief, published in December 2024 by HarperCollins, is a supernatural thriller. She is currently writing a new post-war series for Bedford Square, which she describes as co-sexy.


M. A. Hunter
 (who also writes crime as Stephen Edger) is the prolific author of psychological thrillers, including One Wrong Turn, Every Step You Take, Sleepwalker and The Reunion. In his latest thriller, The Woman on Platform 8 (published March 2025), a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues when autistic Jenna is approached by a woman on the same train, desperate for help because she thinks she just killed her boyfriend… 

Alison Joseph is a crime writer and radio dramatist, author of the Sister Agnes series of novels. The most recent is A Poisoned Chalice, (2024). Sister Agnes also features in a radio drama ‘Sister Agnes Investigates,’ starring Anne-Marie Duff, available via Penguin Audio. Other radio work includes dramatisations of Simenon’s Maigret novels. She has also written three novellas featuring Agatha Christie as a detective. Alison was Chair of the British Crime Writers’ Association 2013 – 2015. 

Stanley Trollip
 writes with Michael Sears as Michael Stanley. Their Detective Kubu novels are set in Botswana. The ninth will be out later this year. They also wrote a thriller about rhino poaching, Dead of Night, set in South Africa, featuring investigative journalist Crystal Nguyen. Stanley also wrote a Crystal Nguyen thriller, Wolfman, set in Minnesota. They won a Barry Award and were finalists for other awards including an Edgar and an ITW award.

Caro Ramsay started her career writing the Anderson and Costello novels. She now enjoys writing the Christine Caplan series, the third of which Out of the Dark was published in August 2024, as was the paperback of book 2 In Her Blood. As well as writing, Caro plays the lead role in Carry On Sleuthing, an acting company of crime writers who push the boundaries of comedy i.e. their plays are beyond a joke.
